| Policy Type
|| It is the policy of the department that program participants help defray the overall cost of the activity (i.e., equipment, facilities, staffing, etc.) through the assessment of fees and charges. However, the department does not wish to exclude children who are unable to pay these fees due to hardships that may occur. Parents who feel they are unable to afford the fees for a program should contact the park and recreation director prior to registration.
| Insurance Coverage
||The Germantown Park and Recreation Department does not carry medical or hospital insurance for injuries or illness participants may sustain in programs. Prior to registering, you should review your health insurance policy for coverage. Absence of personal health insurance coverage does not make the Park and Recreation Department responsible for payment of participant’s medical coverage. All persons participating in department sponsored activities must provided their own insurance and assume risk for all injuries. The department will not be liable for personal liabilities or accidents.
| No Smoking / Alcohol Use Policy
|| A reminder to program participants: The use of all tobacco products or drinking of alcoholic beverages on premises owned by the Germantown School District is prohibited by state law. Your cooperation in upholding this law is necessary.
| Nonresident Registration
|| For registration purposes, a nonresident is anyone who does not reside within the corporate boundaries of the village and does not pay property taxes to the village or the Germantown school district. In the case of nonresident participation, nonresident users contribute an additional fee or surcharge to offset their non-tax status for programs.
| Notice Nondiscrimination
|| It is the policy of the Germantown Park and Recreation Department that no person shall, on the basis of sex, race, national origin, ancestry, creed, marital or parental status, age, or disability, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity, including employment.
| Refund Policy

| Safety Issues
|| The Germantown Park and Recreation Department is committed to conducting programs and activities in the safest manner possible and holds the safety of participants in the highest regard. Participants and parents registering their child in recreation programs must recognize that there is an inherent risk of injury when choosing to participate in recreational activities. The department continually strives to reduce such risks and insists that all participants follow safety rules and instructions. If you find a real or potential safety hazard in one of our parks or facilities, please call 262-250-4710.
| School District Resident
|| For registration purposes, a school district resident is anyone who resides within and pays taxes to the Germantown school district but does not pay Village of Germantown property taxes. School district residents will not be assessed a nonresident surcharge when registering for any program or league that utilizes Germantown school district facilities. However, if a school district resident registers for a program or league that utilizes a village facility, a nonresident surcharge will be assessed.
| Village Resident
